Cleveland, OH - December 1999 - Efficient Channel Coding (ECC) announced today that it has won a contract to help develop advanced Wireless LAN technology. The strategic partnership allows the next generation of wireless LAN technology to take advantage of ECC’s advanced error correction codes. The resulting technology is expected to revolutionize the industry and will result in a near term radio solution. A whole range of products are being considered, from a standalone wireless router, to a PCI wireless router, to the PCMCIA wireless router. ECC and its partner will continue to innovate in this applications segment, continually providing the solutions far more advanced and useful than the current wireless systems.
