Satellite Broadband
High performance is the key to lower costs in providing broadband by satellite.
ECC ASIC broadband modems perform extremely close to theory, including those we have built for IPSTAR, WINDS, and TSAT with:
- Complex (turbo/LDPC-based codes, higher order modulation, and high-speed) digital modems with implementation loss from theory around 0.5 dB
- DVB-S2 modem operating within 0.35 dB of theory with a QPSK rate ½ code running at 50 Msym/sec
These modems span the 4 Mbps to 1500 Mbps user data rate and operate in the C-, Ku-, and Ka-bands.
